We are delighted to announce that one of our first ever apprenticeship learners has successfully completed her apprenticeship. Chloe Nicholas came to us in December 2016 looking to start her career, and at the time we were recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor on behalf of South Tyneside Homes.
Chloe passed the interview stage and was offered the position. Alongside her day-to-day role involving answering calls from South Tyneside homes residents and directing them to the most appropriate services; she was working towards her NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service and her apprenticeship framework.
Chloe has now completed her apprenticeship making her our first ever apprentice to complete their course! Congratulations Chloe…
Here’s what Chloe had to say about her experience.
“I have really enjoyed doing my Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service with Rising Star, I have learnt a lot of things from completing this and used this knowledge to help me gain a permanent job. I received excellent support and encouragement from Susan my tutor and found Rising Star to be really helpful, efficient and professional while completing my Level 2 and looking forward to starting my Level 3”.
Susan Joel, Chloe’s apprenticeship Assessor said,
“It has been a pleasure being Chloe’s Assessor throughout her Level 2 apprenticeship, she has worked extremely hard and I am excited she will be progressing to Level 3. I am looking forward to supporting Chloe over the next 18 months as she continues her learning journey”.
Now that she has successfully completed her apprenticeship, Chloe has been offered a permanent full-time position and further development through progressing onto her Customer Service Level 3 qualification.
Jackie Lawson, Chloe’s manager commented,
“Chloe Nicholas is our Housing Apprentice within South Tyneside Homes Customer Service Team, Chloe started her NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service with Rising Star December 2016 and completed it April 2018 ahead of schedule, the support that Rising Star and in particular Susan Joel gave to Chloe was second to none, Susan came on the arranged dates to see Chloe and always had a catch-up meeting with me to discuss Chloe’s progress and to raise any concerns that either of us had.
Chloe’s housing apprenticeship with South Tyneside Homes was due to end in 2019 however Chloe applied for and was appointed a full time Customer Service Advisor in April, I believe that the skills and knowledge that Chloe gained from Rising Star and in particular the 1-2-1 sessions with Susan gave Chloe the confidence to apply for the role, I would thoroughly recommend Rising Star as a training provider”.
